## About the Role

We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology and keen to build a career within IT and communications engineering.

You will ideally have:

 * A genuine interest in IT and technology.
 * Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
 * Basic understanding of computer networking.
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
 * Excellent communication and customer service skills.
 * A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
 * The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
 * A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience

It would be beneficial if you have experience with:

 * IT support, service desk or engineering environments.
 * Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms or business telephony.
 * Networking equipment such as switches and firewalls.
 * Structured cabling or hardware installations.
 * Microsoft or vendor certifications.
 * An IT qualification, apprenticeship or relevant technical training.

## Description

As a Junior IT & Communications Engineer, you will support customers with a wide range of IT and communications technologies. You'll combine traditional IT support with hands-on engineering work, assisting with installations, configurations and customer projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

 * Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support to internal and external customers.
 * Troubleshooting issues across Windows devices, Microsoft 365 and business applications.
 * Supporting Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone, Teams Rooms and unified communications technologies.
 * Assisting with the installation and configuration of IT and communications solutions.
 * Supporting onsite installations including meeting room equipment, displays, networking hardware and structured cabling.
 * Preparing, configuring and testing equipment before customer deployment.
 * Supporting senior engineers on customer projects and technical installations.
 * Maintaining accurate technical documentation.
 * Responding to support requests within agreed service levels.
 * Escalating complex technical issues when required.
 * Developing your technical knowledge through vendor training and practical experience.
 * Providing a professional, friendly and customer-focused service.

The role will involve travelling to customer sites across the UK, including occasional overnight stays where required.
