This highly visible role will play a key part in accelerating new product introductions, reducing manufacturing costs, and advancing digital transformation initiatives across global operations. The Manufacturing Software Engineer will collaborate closely with product design, manufacturing engineering, quality, and operations teams to develop software platforms supporting process planning, CNC programming, quality control systems, and manufacturing execution activities. In addition, this role will support metrology and gauging software applications while providing technical support to manufacturing facilities worldwide. Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development & Automation * Lead the development and deployment of software platforms that convert product geometry and tooling data into: * Manufacturing process models * Work instructions * Production-ready manufacturing data * Develop software solutions that automatically generate: * Operator instructions * CNC programs * Gauging programs * Quality process control plans * Design, develop, maintain, and enhance metrology and gauging software applications using: * C++ * C# * .NET technologies * Integrate software systems with manufacturing hardware, including: * Data acquisition systems * Instrumentation * Motor drives * Sensors * External I/O devices Manufacturing Process Development * Collaborate with manufacturing and process engineering teams to develop analytical process models across multiple manufacturing disciplines. * Define manufacturing equipment capabilities, routing logic, and process rules to ensure alignment with production scheduling and manufacturing execution systems. * Partner with product design teams to establish dimensional data requirements and ensure the accurate translation of engineering designs into manufacturing processes. * Support new product launches and manufacturing startup activities through process automation and technical problem-solving. Leadership & Project Management * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to an international software development team supporting global manufacturing operations. * Manage technical projects using structured project management methodologies, including: * Project planning * Resource allocation * Risk management * Corrective action tracking * Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and IT teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of software solutions.
