You don't need to know everything on day one. Some of our best technicians have started with a solid technical foundation, a great attitude, and the determination to figure things out. If you're naturally curious, enjoy troubleshooting, and take pride in providing excellent customer service, we'd love to meet you. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow beyond a traditional help desk role. You'll gain hands-on experience with a wide variety of technologies while working directly with experienced engineers and real-world business environments. What You'll Do Every day is different. Depending on the day, you may be: * Responding to client service requests using our PSA platform * Monitoring and maintaining client systems through our RMM tools * Troubleshooting Windows desktops, laptops, and business applications * Supporting Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and related services * Creating and managing user accounts and permissions * Supporting Windows Server and Active Directory environments * Troubleshooting wired and wireless networking issues * Configuring and supporting switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs, and other network equipment * Installing and configuring new computers and peripherals * Assisting with VoIP phone systems * Installing and supporting IP video surveillance systems * Running and terminating network cabling when needed * Performing onsite service calls throughout the Chicago area * Documenting client environments and completed work As your experience grows, you'll have opportunities to work on increasingly advanced Microsoft 365, networking, security, server, and infrastructure projects., Our technicians gain experience with a wide variety of technologies, including: * Microsoft 365 * Windows Server * Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID * Networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and Wi-Fi * Fortinet, SonicWall, Cisco, and Ubiquiti networking equipment * Remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms * Professional Services Automation (PSA) software * VoIP phone systems * IP video surveillance systems * Structured network cabling Why Hyper IT?
