## About the Role

* 4+ years of experience in network solutions architecture, engineering, implementation, integrations, and operations of enterprise and/or carrier-class networks.
 * Experience working with cloud-based network infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, GCP or Oracle Cloud.
 * Hands on experience with common, enterprise grade network security & SIEM technologies (such as Zscaler, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft, Splunk, ELK etc.).
 * Familiarity with the NIST 800, FedRAMP, Risk Management Framework, Security Controls, and the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) operating standards and applicable guidelines.
 * Experience with enterprise and security architectures
 * Sound organizational and cross-functional communication and collaboration skills that promotes the benefits of ZT and inspires others to contribute
 * Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (or higher) or equivalent experience
 * Any IA III certification (CISSP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CCSP, GCED, or GCIH)
 * Active Secret Security Clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Any cloud related certifications

 * Knowledge of Zero Trust Architectures (ZTA), principles and practices

## Description

An employer is seeking a Zero Trust Cyber Security Engineer who can hit the ground running to engage in the overall Zero Trust strategies and efforts for their customer on Scott Air Force Base. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our team and customer to help guide, assess, and document the as-is status of on-premises and cloud-based network enclaves and applications, conduct gap analysis, and formulate/implement plans that migrate each enclave and application towards achieving the full spectrum of benefits zero trust provides. Zero status as well as planned efforts to achieve both 2027 targets as well as set the team on the path to success for 2032 Advanced requirements. This job will require you to become the resident expert in Visibility and Analytics as one of the seven pillars and help guide the team to the solutions that ensure mission success while making it the number one priority to protect our data, systems, and personnel.
