## About the Role

* Commercial experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production
 * Strong Linux systems administration experience
 * Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, ideally within Microsoft Azure
 * Hands-on experience with Docker and containerised environments
 * Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki or OpenTelemetry
 * Scripting experience using Bash, Python or similar
 * Experience supporting production SaaS or cloud-based environments
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 * Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within engineering teams
 * Permanent right to work in the UK without sponsorship

Desirable Skills

 * Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
 * Helm
 * PostgreSQL, Redis or Elasticsearch
 * Service mesh and cloud-native networking technologies
 * Experience supporting highly available, customer-facing SaaS platforms

## Description

* Build, manage and optimise production Kubernetes environments hosted within Microsoft Azure.
 * Improve the scalability, resilience and performance of a cloud-native SaaS platform.
 * Manage Kubernetes deployments, upgrades, networking, ingress, storage and cluster lifecycle.
 * Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code and scripting.
 * Support containerised application deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
 * Implement security best practices, RBAC and cluster hardening.
 * Enhance monitoring, observability and incident response across production environments.
 * Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking and application issues across Linux-based systems.
 * Work closely with software engineering teams to improve platform reliability, performance and operational efficiency.
 * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help shape the future direction of the cloud platform.
