## About the Role

* Strong experience analysing and documenting complex database structures.
 * Advanced SQL skills, including interrogating data across multiple platforms.
 * Strong understanding of relational databases, data modelling and database design.
 * Previous experience migrating relational databases to NoSQL technologies such as Azure Cosmos DB.
 * Experience supporting data migration, application modernisation or platform replacement programmes.
 * Understanding of ETL, ELT and data transformation methodologies.
 * Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and modern cloud data services.
 * Strong stakeholder engagement and technical documentation skills.

Previous experience as a Database Administrator would be beneficial but is not essential.

## Description

* Analyse complex Legacy applications, databases and source systems.
 * Document schemas, tables, columns, relationships, indexes and constraints.
 * Reverse-engineer databases and applications where documentation is limited.
 * Capture business rules, data flows, dependencies and transformation requirements.
 * Produce detailed source-to-target data mappings.
 * Support the migration from relational SQL databases to document-based NoSQL platforms.
 * Work closely with Developers, Solution Architects, Data Architects and business stakeholders.
 * Contribute to wider data governance and data quality objectives.
