## About the Role

* Experience in Application Support, IT Support or a similar technical role
 * Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
 * Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications, ideally within AWS environments
 * SQL experience and the ability to query and analyse data effectively
 * Knowledge of application logs, monitoring tools and debugging techniques
 * Familiarity with APIs, integrations and Windows/Linux environments
 * A proactive approach to continuous improvement and service excellence
 * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
 * IT-related degree, equivalent qualification or relevant industry experience

## Description

At Evri, we're on a mission to keep our technology moving as fast as our parcels. We're looking for an Application Support Developer to join our Level 2 Development Support team, supporting the critical systems that help deliver millions of parcels across the UK every week.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working with cloud-based applications, and using their coding skills to improve the stability, performance and reliability of business-critical systems.
What You'll Do

 * Provide 2nd line support for complex, internally developed applications
 * Take ownership of technical incidents and drive them through to resolution
 * Investigate and resolve issues using logs, monitoring tools, application metrics and SQL queries
 * Work closely with Development, Infrastructure and third-party suppliers to troubleshoot complex problems
 * Support Incident, Problem, Change and Knowledge Management processes
 * Help maintain and continuously improve production environments, with a focus on automation and operational efficiency
 * Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact customers and colleagues
 * Support the successful release of new features and applications into production
 * Create and maintain knowledge articles, runbooks and troubleshooting documentation
 * Contribute to service improvements that enhance system performance, stability and user experience
 * Participate in an on-call rota providing out-of-hours support
