## About the Role

* Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
 * Proven experience in an SRE, DevSecOps, Platform Security, or Security Engineering role.
 * Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
 * Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
 * Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.
 * Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
 * Strong understanding of security principles, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
 * Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, or similar.
 * Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable

 * Experience working within government, defence, or highly regulated environments.
 * Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and cloud security frameworks.
 * Relevant certifications such as AWS Security, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM, or Kubernetes certifications.

## Description

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Security Engineer to join a major client programme on a long-term contract through to March 2027. This is a primarily remote opportunity, although candidates must be willing and able to travel to client offices when required.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and resilience of critical platforms and services, working closely with engineering, operations, and security teams., * Design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient, and highly available platforms.

 * Embed security best practices within SRE and DevOps processes.
 * Monitor system performance, availability, and security posture across environments.
 * Automate operational and security controls using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
 * Support incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
 * Collaborate with stakeholders to implement security controls and compliance requirements.
 * Drive improvements in observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
 * Conduct vulnerability remediation and support security reviews and audits.
