## About the Role

Required

 * 2+ years of mobile engineering experience, with shipped consumer-facing apps (not solely B2B)
 * Strong Kotlin expertise for Android, including Jetpack Compose and modern app architecture (MVVM / Clean Architecture)
 * Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile: protobufs, REST, and gRPC
 * Hands-on experience integrating Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging)
 * Proficiency with Android testing strategies (unit tests, instrumentation/UI tests) and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile
 * Clear, effective communication and a proven ability to collaborate across functions

Nice to Have

 * Mentorship or technical leadership experience guiding junior mobile engineers
 * Familiarity with Dagger Hilt dependency injection
 * Exposure to Go, GCP, BigQuery, or MySQL on the backend, This is an on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. Candidates should be prepared to work from the office regularly.

 * Help build and evolve the mobile platform layer shared across the engineering team
 * Pragmatically solve complex technical and product problems at pace
 * Contribute meaningfully to product design decisions and technical direction
 * Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders
 * Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers on the Android team
