Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be ## Description The incumbent must be Tier 1 IT Technician who provides technical support to all internal users of the Florida Department of Health in Broward County. This position requires frequent communication with customers, peers, and vendors to resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally. Primary responsibilities include responding to and managing support requests received through the IT Help Desk call center. The technician must have basic knowledge of IP telephony, network systems, Active Directory, Windows workstation troubleshooting, computer peripherals, network connectivity, and configuration of iOS and Android mobile devices. Duties include performing software installations, answering and triaging help desk calls, documenting issues, and responding to support requests. The role supports and troubleshoots a variety of network components, including workstations, printers, scanners, servers, and switches. The technician assists with installing new equipment, software, and related upgrades, performing basic structured cabling tasks, and ensuring proper cable labeling, routing, and termination. All service activities must be accurately recorded in the ITSM Help Desk system. The incumbent is also responsible for completing required continuing education and maintaining compliance with agency, section, and DOH training requirements.
