In this role, you'll handle complex hardware installations and upgrades, as well as perform testing and troubleshooting of components to ensure optimal performance and reliability., Coordinate and oversee hardware and cable installations (routing, terminating, structured cabling) including troubleshooting and testing. Performs remote hands support (e.g. power cycles, physical environment and cabling inspections, swap out failed components, hardware upgrades, IoT sensor troubleshooting and triage, testing of copper and fiber cables, handling storage media, and enter troubleshooting commands). Manages projects small to medium sized projects - Space planning, power requirements, cabling requirements, support for IT projects. Meticulously document all deployed devices, including serial numbers, MAC addresses, physical locations, network configurations, and installation dates in the asset management system (CMDB). Prepare incoming and outgoing shipments. Compare packing lists with purchase details to ensure accurate make, model, and quantities are received and processed. Support Service Management and related processes by creating and updating assigned tickets.
