## About the Role

* Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
 * Must be at least 21 years of age to drive company vehicles at Milford Proving Grounds.
 * Must be mechanically inclined and own tools or willingness to purchase tools.
 * Must have familiarity with re-flashing modules and calibrations.
 * Must have exceptional critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
 * Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
 * Must be a reliable team player.
 * Forklift experience is a plus.

Retrofit and Recon Technician Working Conditions and Physical Demands include:

 * Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and automotive liquids.
 * No air conditioning inside the shop area.
 * Must be okay to work in cramped or confined spaces.
 * This position is performed both inside a garage and outside so weather conditions may include extreme heat and cold.
 * This position is continually active and requires standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and all day.
 * Must frequently lift and/or move items up to 100 lbs.
 * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

## Description

Retrofit and Recon Technician Responsibilities include:

 * Diagnose issues, noises, vibrations, etc.
 * Replace worn, broken, or EX parts.
 * Reflash calibrations/modules back to factory standards.
 * Install LPO parts and perform PDI (pre-delivery inspection).
 * Test drive vehicles to ensure the vehicle is road-ready.
 * Complete paperwork and input hours worked into productivity software.
 * Complete campaigns and safety bulletins.
 * Perform routine services as needed.
 * Scrap vehicle teardown as needed.
 * Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service's DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.
