This position will serve as the primary analyst responsible for the integration, transformation, validation, and visualization of complex research administration and cancer center operational data across multiple institutional systems and platforms. The role will support the development of scalable reporting workflows, reusable transformation logic, and leadership-facing dashboards that enable timely, accurate, and actionable insight across the cancer center enterprise. The successful candidate will work closely with cancer center research administration, Health Information Technology Services (HITS), leadership stakeholders, and operational teams to support the transition from fragmented, manually assembled reporting toward a centralized, sustainable business intelligence environment. This includes supporting development of standardized reporting processes, dashboard-based visualizations, repeatable analytics workflows, and integrated reporting across cancer center operational domains. This position is embedded within a highly collaborative environment and will support operational, leadership, and federal reporting across areas including research funding, publications, membership, internal funding programs, shared resources, and other cancer center metrics. Responsibilities* Data Integration, Transformation, and Validation (40%): * Develop and maintain reusable data transformation workflows, reporting logic, validation processes, and standardized reporting structures across institutional and external data sources * Aggregate, integrate, reconcile, and validate complex datasets related to cancer center operations, research administration, and leadership reporting * Apply structured attribution and transformation methodologies to institutional grant and funding data in support of CCSG and related reporting requirements * Develop scalable workflows and structured datasets to support recurring reporting cycles, analytics platforms, and dashboard environments * Collaborate with HITS and institutional data partners to: + define data requirements and technical specifications + support development of structured data extracts, reusable data views, and relational datasets + improve scalability, consistency, and repeatability of reporting workflows * Support development and maintenance of relational datasets and reporting environments, including systems such as Advarra EVAL * Implement and maintain data quality assurance processes to ensure consistency, integrity, and reproducibility across reporting environments Dashboard Development and Reporting (25%): * Design, develop, and maintain leadership-facing dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Envisio, or similar business intelligence platforms * Translate complex operational and research data into clear, actionable visual reporting outputs for leadership, strategic planning, and operational decision-making * Support longitudinal performance tracking, trend analysis, and visualization across cancer center operational domains * Develop reusable reporting views and scalable dashboard infrastructure to support institutional reporting, external advisory board reviews, and presentation needs * Support sustainable dashboard refresh, maintenance, and validation workflows CCSG and Cancer Center Metrics Production (20%): * Produce and maintain standardized cancer center reporting datasets and metrics across domains including: + research funding and grant attribution + NCI/CCSG reporting tables + publications and publication reporting workflows + membership and program alignment + pilot/internal funding outcomes and return-on-investment reporting + shared resource utilization metrics * Coordinate with operational leaders and subject matter experts to support consistent metric definitions, reporting standards, and governance practices * Support implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and recurring reporting processes * Contribute to development of scalable reporting methodologies that reduce reliance on one-time manual data assembly Systems Coordination and Business Process Support (10%): * Serve as a liaison between cancer center operational stakeholders, HITS, and institutional technical/data teams regarding analytics workflows, reporting priorities, and business requirements * Assist with optimization of operational workflows related to data intake, transformation, validation, reporting, and dashboard production * Support implementation and operationalization of reporting tools, analytics platforms, and integrated reporting processes * Collaborate with operational owners across publications, membership, pilot funding, grants administration, shared resources, and related functional areas to support coordinated reporting activities and data governance efforts Special Projects and Emerging Reporting Needs (5%) ## Related Videos -
