Desired Experience: * Prior work with marine fisheries data systems, oceanographic data, or scientific monitoring systems. * Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX, cloud environments (AWS/GCP), containerized workflows, or AI data integrations., * Bachelor's (Required), * application development: 4 years (Required) ## Description We are seeking a versatile Applications Developer to join our Data and Information Systems Branch (DIS) team supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) / National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS)., In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain mission-critical web applications, APIs, real-time data integration systems, and vendor portals supporting regional marine fisheries monitoring initiatives (including Observer and Electronic Monitoring programs). You will work closely with a collaborative team of developers, data analysts, and federal stakeholders using Agile methodologies., * API & System Enhancements: Modify existing NEMIS data submission APIs and web interfaces to accept AI-generated Electronic Monitoring (EM) data, updating database schemas to accommodate new AI fields. * Third-Party Vendor Portal: Build and maintain a secure portal for external service providers to submit EM results and receive automated performance feedback evaluated against curated validation datasets. * Real-Time Data Automation: Implement automated, real-time listeners for the EM Federal Records API.
