This person will own operational excellence, strategic planning, and AI-powered program management for a leadership org that ships wireless connectivity solutions (WiFi, Bluetooth, Thread, Zigbee, Matter, Sidewalk) across Amazon's entire device portfolio - Echo, Fire TV, Ring, Blink, Key, smart eyewear, and next-generation smart home products. This is not a traditional "track one program" TPM role. You will be the operating system for a hardware engineering organization: running the planning cadence, driving headcount and budget decisions, preparing executive documents (OP1/OP2), monitoring health of 30+ concurrent programs, and building AI-augmented workflows that replace manual toil. You will be the person leadership relies on to know where every program stands and keep a pulse check on org health. Key job responsibilities Org Operations & Cadence - Own and run the leadership operating rhythm: WBR, MBR, QBR, OP cycles - Drive cross-team coordination across 4+ sub-orgs - Prepare agendas, track action items, and ensure decisions are documented and followed through - Manage org-wide communications: announcements, hiring updates, launch celebrations Strategic Planning & HC Management - Own the annual/bi-annual OP1/OP2 planning cycle end-to-end: narrative writing, HC asks, cost modeling - Manage headcount forecasting - Run monthly HC scrub: validate loading against 9-Box rules, identify violations, prepare remediation plans - Model trade-offs between programs, functions, and geos for leadership decisions - Prepare and maintain roadmap-to-HC mapping for 50+ product programs Org Health & Escalation - Monitor org health across the full portfolio (milestones, risks, blockers, dependencies) - Build dashboards and automated reports that surface Red/Yellow status before review meetings - Prepare escalation write-ups with data, context, and recommended actions for leadership AI-Augmented Operations (Differentiator) - Build, maintain, and improve AI agent workflows that automate operational toil - Design and operate LLM-based tools for: HC scrub automation, program mapping, report generation, document drafting executive summaries - Continuously identify manual processes that can be automated with AI/ML tooling - Evaluate and adopt new AI capabilities (coding assistants, document analysis, data pipelines) for org-wide benefit Executive Communication - Write executive-ready narratives: OP documents, business reviews, org highlights, 6-pagers - Translate technical wireless engineering work into business impact for non-technical audiences - Prepare data-backed briefing materials for leadership reviews ## Related Videos - [ Evaluating AI models for code comprehension](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1462-evaluating-ai-models-for-code-comprehension) - [Agentic employees in world's most downloaded FinTech app](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100123-agentic-employees-in-world-s-most-downloaded-fintech-app) - [Streaming AI Responses in Real-Time with SSE in Next.js & NestJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1630-streaming-ai-responses-in-real-time-with-sse-in-next-js-nestjs) - [Remote Driving on Plant Grounds with State-of-the-Art Cloud Technologies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/251-remote-driving-on-plant-grounds-with-state-of-the-art-cloud-technologies) - [API, MCP or MCP App?
