Nice to Have * Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. * Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. * Familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes or similar platforms. * Exposure to security practices: secrets management (e.g. Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault), vulnerability scanning, or least-privilege access patterns. * Previous experience in an internationally operating SaaS business. * Exposure to formal project management methodologies. ## Description We're looking for a technically strong and people-focused Infrastructure and Platform Team Lead to join our engineering organization. This is a hands-on leadership role - you'll own the day-to-day direction of a small team (1-3 engineers) while remaining deeply involved in architecture, implementation, and optimization of our infrastructure. You'll work closely with Development, QA and Security teams to provide a secure, reliable platform for software delivery. Development teams own application development and deployment pipelines; your team owns the underlying infrastructure, hosting platforms, operational tooling and production environments that enable those deployments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving infrastructure problems, mentoring engineers, improving operational maturity and introducing sensible automation without losing sight of reliability and stability. What You'll Do Team Leadership * Lead and mentor a small Infrastructure & Platform Engineering team. * Allocate work, set priorities and support engineers through regular 1:1s. * Provide technical leadership across infrastructure, networking and platform services. * Foster a collaborative culture focused on ownership, continual improvement and operational excellence. * Work closely with the Head of DevOps to deliver strategic initiatives. Infrastructure & Systems * Design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure across Azure, private cloud hosting environments while supporting the ongoing migration away from legacy AWS Services. * Maintain and improve: * Windows Server * Linux * Active Directory * DNS, DHCP and core networking * F5 BIG-IP * Virtualisation platforms (VMWare) * Storage platforms * Identity and access management * Azure platform services * Maintain production and internal environments to ensure high availability, resilience and security. Operations & Reliability * Monitor and maintain availability, performance, and security of systems using appropriate observability tools. * Troubleshoot and resolve system and network incidents, minimizing downtime and customer impact. * Create follow-up actions for incidents affecting production services: performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term improvements. * Develop, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery and business continuity plans. * Own infrastructure patching, lifecycle management and platform maintenance. * Maintain documentation covering infrastructure, operational procedures and recovery processes. * Collaborate with QA and software development teams to support timely, high-quality product delivery.
