Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field. Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance. United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance. Key Skills: * Must have experience supporting the analysis, design, development, integration, and implementation of enterprise information systems. * Demonstrated experience applying systems engineering principles across the full infrastructure lifecycle, including architecture, design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, operations, and modernization. * Experience with requirements elicitation and analysis of highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise infrastructure. * Experience working with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, networking, systems administration, cloud engineering, software development, and operations. * Current or prior U.S. Census Bureau experience or experience with Federal systems engineering preferred., * Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance. * Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field. * 8+ years of experience supporting systems analysis, systems engineering, or requirements engineering activities. * Must have experience with requirements elicitation and analysis of highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise infrastructure. * Experience using Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar modeling tools preferred. * Experience using requirements management tools such as Jira, IBM DOORS, Jama, or similar preferred. * Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and SysML preferred. * Experience eliciting and documenting business (BRD) and system non-functional requirements (NFR). * Experience creating functional specifications, interface documentation, and technical artifacts. * Experience supporting enterprise monitoring and performance management solutions. * Experience with enterprise networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls. * Experience with cloud and/or on-premises enterprise systems. * Experience supporting software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities. * Experience with interface standards including REST APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON, messaging services, and batch integrations. * Experience documenting system interfaces and integration requirements. * Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders. * Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision. ## Description * Lead requirements elicitation sessions with business and technical stakeholders, focusing on infrastructure requirements. * Analyze business processes and operational workflows to identify system requirements. * Document functional (FRD), non-functional (NFR), interface, and business requirements (BRD). * Support the development of user stories, use cases, operational workflows, and acceptance criteria. * Assist with maintaining requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle. * Document system interfaces, data exchanges, and integration requirements. * Support development of Interface Control Documents (ICDs), data mappings, and technical documentation. * Support system integration planning, testing, and defect resolution activities. * Assist in developing engineering documentation including: o System Requirements o Functional Specifications o Interface Specifications o Process Flows o Data Flow Diagrams o Sequence Diagrams o Infrastructure, network, storage, identity and access management Requirements * Assist with system decomposition, workflow analysis, and solution documentation. * Support verification activities by ensuring requirements are complete, testable, and traceable. * Identify infrastructure risks, dependencies, and technical debt while recommending mitigation strategies. * Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure infrastructure complies with Federal security requirements, security controls, and enterprise architecture standards. * Collaborate with software developers, testers, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business teams to clarify requirements. * Participate in design reviews, technical working groups, and engineering discussions. * Assist with project planning by identifying technical dependencies, assumptions, and risks. * Produce documentation supporting system implementation and operational readiness. ## Related Videos -
