## About the Role

* Proven experience in oil & gas automation systems.
 * Strong PLC troubleshooting skills within live production facilities.
 * In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and process control.
 * Experience with commissioning and startup of automation systems.
 * Familiarity with Allen-Bradley controllers and FactoryTalk software.
 * Ability to work independently in the field and remote environment.
 * Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

 * Prior experience with similar production facilities outside of oil & gas.
 * Additional automation or control system certifications.
 * Experience with other automation platforms or software.

Preferred Education and Experience:

 * Technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems, or related field.
 * At least 3-5 years of hands-on automation experience, preferably within oil & gas or similar industries.

Other Requirements:

 * Availability to work on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule.
 * Willingness to be based in Midland, TX, and perform field work when necessary.
 * Professional certification in automation or control systems is a plus.

## Description

What You'll Do:

 * Monitor automation systems remotely from the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) in Midland.
 * Troubleshoot PLC and instrumentation issues in live facility environments.
 * Collaborate with field operations, engineering, and IOC teams to resolve system anomalies.
 * Support commissioning and startup activities, ensuring efficient and safe production.
 * Serve as the primary automation interface, facilitating effective communication and problem resolution between various operational teams.
