Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic. ## Description The IT Asset Management Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to users within an organization and for ensuring that technology assets are, tracked, received, recovered, deployed, and retired in a controlled manner as well as fulfill requests for ordering hardware\software. Processes all incoming equipment, validates each shipment, and updates the asset inventory database. Updates Service Desk ticketing system with status of hardware/software requests. Submits and manages RMAs for return or exchange of equipment. Schedules vendor(s) to remove obsolete equipment and initiate disposal process. Serves as a backup to the IT Procurement Specialist. This position is onsite in the Colorado Springs, CO area., Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.
