Required skills * TypeScript and modern React - deep, not surface-level. * PostgreSQL - schema, indexes, query performance, migrations, and multi-tenant RLS. * Backend & API design - services, contracts, and third-party integrations beyond BaaS. * Lovable - building from scratch, migrating off the stack. * LLM API integration - Anthropic / OpenAI, tool use, structured outputs, prompt engineering. * Cloud, CI/CD, DevOps - Docker, GitHub Actions, IaC, at least one cloud or modern platform. * Production security - auth, RLS review, secrets, OWASP, audit logging. * Testing & observability - clear strategy plus structured logging, error tracking, alerting. * Comfortable across multiple languages and runtimes, not just Typescript stack. * Working knowledge of more than one architectural style (services, event-driven, serverless). Preferred skills * Supabase in production - Edge Functions, RLS, Storage, Realtime. * Stripe in production - payment links, webhooks, off-session, surcharge logic. * GDS APIs (Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport). * Production experience with accounting and email platform APIs (e.g., Xero, Gmail). Bonus skills: * Travel industry domain experience. * HTML-to-PDF generation. * Open source contributions., If you want meaningful work on a product with a real market, a clear problem to solve, and the ambition to become the industry standard, let's talk. ## Description We are looking for a remote Senior Software Developer with deep technical expertise and an owner's mindset. You will lead the technical direction of the platform, currently built with AI-assisted development workflows on a React + Supabase stack. Working directly with the product owner, you will audit the codebase, set the architecture and engineering process, review every change before it ships, and carry the product from an AI-generated prototype to a production system - while continuing to deliver features. What you'll be working on * Auditing the codebase and producing a remediation plan. * Tightening the architecture in place - module boundaries, schema and RLS discipline, audit logging, security, tests, CI/CD. * Gradually migrating off Lovable onto a production-grade architecture. * Reviewing and hardening code produced through prompt-driven development. * Shipping new features alongside the migration - AI workflows and integrations with GDS, payments, accounting, and email. ## Related Videos - [Navigating Growth, Scaling Challenges, and Office Expansions with David Singleton, CTO at Stripe](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100362-navigating-growth-scaling-challenges-and-office-expansions-with-david-singleton-cto-at-stripe) - [The Resilience of the World Wide Web](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1281-the-resilience-of-the-world-wide-web) - [Docker Compose: Rediscovered](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1978-docker-compose-rediscovered) - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE – AI, Freelancing, Keeping Up with Tech and More](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1786-wearedevelopers-live-ai-freelancing-keeping-up-with-tech-and-more) - [Build Your Own Subscription-based Course Platform](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/321-build-your-own-subscription-based-course-platform) - [Docker build without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100114-docker-build-without-docker) ## Related Articles - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Find a Developer Job: 12 Best Job Sites For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/165-find-a-developer-job-12-best-job-sites-for-developers) - [Dev Digest 131 - AI'm not sure about OSS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/472-dev-digest-131-ai-m-not-sure-about-oss) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers)
