## About the Role

* 1-2 years of experience in IT support or a related field
 * ITIL Certification preferred, but not required
 * Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory for user management, including password resets and account administration
 * Experience with imaging PCs/Laptops and basic networking (LAN)
 * Knowledge of printer/fax troubleshooting, maintenance, and support
 * Strong skills in laptop/desktop hardware support
 * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and troubleshooting skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
 * Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with users and clients
 * Familiarity with help desk/ticketing systems, mobile device troubleshooting, and antivirus software
 * Experience configuring email clients (Outlook, mobile phone email setup, etc.)
 * Strong technical troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities
 * Ability to travel within the Chicago area and surrounding suburbs (reliable transportation required)

## Description

We are looking for an IT Help Desk Technician to join our team! In this role, you will provide essential first-level technical support to our clients and internal staff, helping them resolve a wide variety of IT issues. If you're passionate about technology, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service, this is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your skills in a dynamic IT environment., * Serve as the first point of contact for IT support, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues

 * Provide essential technical support to users, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues
 * Administer user IDs, passwords, and access privileges for various systems
 * Coordinate equipment orders and manage service calls for maintenance and repairs
 * Follow established maintenance protocols to ensure systems remain secure and operational
 * Answer phone inquiries, respond to tickets and alerts, and assist with escalated issues when necessary
 * Administer help desk software and track all requests, ensuring timely resolution
 * Assist with various IT-related tasks as assigned by the team
