Qualifications Preferred: * Senior living, long-term care, or aging services experience including familiarity with EHR platforms such as PointClickCare, life safety and nurse call ecosystems, and a resident-facing service culture. * Exposure to campus environments with mixed-era construction and building-systems technology (access control, alarms, low-voltage). * Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, HCISPP, PMP) are a plus but not a substitute for the leadership experience above. ## Description We are currently searching for a strategic, knowledgeable Director of Information Technology (IT) to join our leadership team. As the senior technology leader for the community, the Director of IT is accountable to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct all technological programs and initiatives for Foulkeways within the parameters of the organization's mission and values. The Director of IT is responsible for IT strategy, governance, budgeting, vendor management, and team development. The Director sets the multi-year technology roadmap in alignment with the community's capital plan, owns regulatory and security governance (including HIPAA), and serves as the bridge between the IT team and executive leadership. The Director leads, develops, and protects a highly capable technical team. This is primarily a strategy-and-governance role, with added expectation of ability to act as back-up for direct report responsibilities. The Director of IT will promote the mission and values of Foulkeways and will assist in the creation of a culture that celebrates diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging., Strategy & Planning * Develop, maintain, and deliver a 24-month technology roadmap aligned to the community's capital plan, care strategy, and resident experience goals; refresh annually. * Own the IT operating and capital budget end-to-end: build, defend, forecast, and report against it, with project execution discipline as a primary performance measure. * Monitor the senior living and healthcare technology landscape; bring forward opportunities and risks with clear cost-benefit analysis. Governance, Security & Compliance * Establish and maintain a right-sized IT policy framework: acceptable use, access control, incident response, change management, and vendor management. * Own HIPAA and information security governance; serve as the knowledgeable partner to clinical leadership on privacy and security questions, reducing the burden currently carried by clinical and finance leaders. * Run a monthly IT steering cadence with the CFO and quarterly reviews with the CEO; report key performance indicators (service levels, project milestones, security posture, savings captured). Vendor & Contract Management * Build and own a complete contract and renewal calendar; review all renewals for necessity and value before execution. * Lead vendor selection, RFPs, and negotiations with explicit attention to open standards and avoiding proprietary lock-in. * Hold vendors accountable for performance during implementations and incidents. Project & Change Leadership * Own go-live readiness and hyper care for major implementations - training plans, super-users, cutover plans, ticket triage, and service-level definitions. * Partner with Facilities to define and maintain clear responsibility boundaries for life safety, nurse call, door access, and related building systems.
