Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Clinical Supervisor: Youth Intensive Services (PHP/IOP Clinic) - **Company:** MADELINE CENTER Inc - **Location:** Forest, VA, United States - **Experience:** Expert - **Salary:** $65,000.0 - $95,000.0 - **Contract:** Internship / Graduate position - **Skills:** PHP (Programming Language), Computer Programming - **Published:** August 4, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=de6c70e3c047095a ## About the Role * Active, unrestricted clinical license in good standing (LPC or LCSW); Virginia licensure, or eligibility for Virginia licensure by endorsement, required by start date. * Approximately 5+ years providing behavioral healthcare to individuals with mental health diagnoses; experience with children/adolescents strongly preferred. * 5+ years with progressive clinical leadership (program direction, counseling center leadership, or formal supervisory roles) strongly preferred. * Inpatient, PHP, or other higher-level-of-care experience preferred; familiarity with milieu-based treatment translates directly to our two-room clinic model. * Experience (or demonstrated readiness) supervising and developing direct-service providers. * Ability to provide board-compliant supervision to post-masters candidates pursuing licensure preferred (LPC-S, or LCSW equivalent qualified to supervise Supervisees in Social Work); our clinic begins accepting Residents in Counseling in 2027. * Working understanding of DMAS and DBHDS regulations governing clinic-based services and documentation. * Willingness to complete required agency trainings (Human Rights, Mandated Reporting, Therapeutic Options, First Aid/CPR, REVIVE, Documentation, Incident Reporting, P&P), background checks and TB screening, before being staffed with consumers. * Paneled, or willing to become paneled, with relevant insurers. ## Description We believe in supervision-with-direct-care, not supervision from behind a desk. As the clinic scales, the thing that cannot slip is clinical quality: appropriate caseloads, faithful evidence-based programming, zero down days, and documentation that closes the same day the session does. The Clinical Supervisor owns that standard for the team while the You will be the clinical backbone of a program designed to become the benchmark of our agency. What You'll Do Caring for Others * Co-facilitate daily clinical work in the Peds and Teens rooms: psychoeducational groups, skills-based curriculum, and individual pull-out sessions. * Provide best-practice clinical supervision to assigned clinicians and interns (QMHPs, and license-eligible providers). * Complete assigned intakes under our Centralized Intake Model: a structured 3-day clinical cascade (biopsychosocial assessment, treatment planning with DLA-20 and ISP, and program orientation/integration). * Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about the children under care and their progress; model that standard for the team. * Respond to acute and emergent situations; carry cases through disposition, because we do not drop cases. * Have fun providing services to kids in a supportive team environment; it's part of the model, not a perk. Corporate Compliance * Countersign, amend, and approve team documentation: progress notes, care plans, crisis plans, assessments, and authorization requests. * Champion 100% concurrent documentation: the session isn't over until the note is done. * Own the daily operating rhythm of both rooms: milieu schedule, coverage, and the intake cascade landing on time. * Ensure caseloads under your supervision are clinically appropriate and that services are delivered as scheduled with zero down days (excluding noted closures). * Ensure personal and staff compliance with agency policies and applicable DBHDS/DMAS regulations; engage the corrective action process when needed. Creating Opportunity * Interface with referral agents, families, and community stakeholders to keep the referral pipeline warm and the clinic's reputation strong. * Participate in hiring and onboarding of new clinical employees as the team grows. Comprehensive Services * Contribute written process documentation to the maturing ICBS Procedure Manual. * Support quarterly patient engagement surveys and continuous quality improvement. Who Are the Clients? The consumers for this program are children and adolescents, ages 6-17, in need of Mental Health Partial Hospitalization or Intensive Outpatient Programming: one of the highest levels of care outside an inpatient admission. We work through issues of abuse & neglect, challenging behaviors, challenging emotions, and sometimes tough clinical presentations. We do this through the lens of genuine compassion for the kids we work with: solid psychoeducation and group-based clinical work, outpatient therapy, psychiatry, and family work. Our clients are with us 3-4 hours per day, and strong candidates will be able to draw from our established curriculum to lead and supervise therapeutic group work that prioritizes 1) safety, 2) individualized care, and 3) sound clinical work. Who You'll Work With * CEO: your direct report line, who is deeply committed to the development of this program. * Patient Access Manager: controls the referral-to-service pipeline so clinicians can stay clinical. * A growing multidisciplinary team. Help Build a Training Clinic This role shapes our supervision and training infrastructure from the ground up. You will help build a training clinic and a curriculum organized around three core evidence-based practices (we'll talk specifics at the information session), including: * The psychoeducational curriculum library that drives daily programming in both rooms. * Board-compliant supervision of Residents in Counseling. * Practicum and internship partnerships with area universities.
