## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
 * EIT or FE certification with an interest in obtaining the Professional Engineer licensure
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 * Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation
 * Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
 * Ability to work with moderate supervision and maximum efficiency in a small or medium size office setting

## Description

* Execute assignments requiring application of standard and advanced engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out civil engineering tasks.
 * Develop civil construction specifications, assist in development of cost estimates, engineering proposals, and project schedules.
 * Support of substation and transmission line physical design consisting of layout, conduit, grounding, site and work pad development, and erosion and sediment control.
 * Perform basic stormwater calculations to size culverts, ditches, and stormwater retention/detention facilities using stormwater modeling software.
 * Coordinate with multi-discipline design teams including geotechnical, geological,
structural, transmission line, substation, GIS, and construction management team
members.

 * Develop written reports and/or provide verbal communication of information in a
professional and appropriate manner.

 * Work under supervision of Project Engineer, Senior Engineer, or Project Manager in a
professional office setting.

 * Perform occasional site visits to project sites located throughout North America.
 * Work under supervision of Engineering Director and/or a Senior Engineer in a
professional office setting.
