Preferred Qualifications * Experience administering Linux-based embedded systems. * Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or similar embedded computing platforms. * Knowledge of PKI, certificate management, and cryptographic technologies. * Understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, CIS Benchmarks, or STIGs. * Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, or ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC). * Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, maritime systems, industrial control systems, or defense applications. * Comfortable with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting. ## Description The Systems Security Engineer I will support the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of cybersecurity controls for embedded computing platforms, communication systems, and autonomous maritime vehicle networks. This role works closely with communications, software, and electrical engineering teams to integrate secure system architectures throughout the development lifecycle. The Systems Security Engineer will assist with securing Linux-based embedded systems, network infrastructure, remote access solutions, and communication technologies while helping ensure compliance with industry and government cybersecurity standards.
