The incumbent must have the ability to work in an office setting for up to 40 hours per week and remain at a workstation for extended periods while utilizing a personal computer, peripherals, and other office equipment with or without accommodation. The incumbent will be working in an office setting with both natural and artificial lighting. Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders., In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate: * Knowledge of and experience with the State of California's procurement process, including policies and procedures * Experience in conducting procurement-related research. * Experience communicating effectively both orally and in writing with colleagues, stakeholders, community/business partners, consumers, and the public. * Ability to utilize strong organizational skills to prioritize and complete assigned activities by due dates. * Ability to be flexible and adapt to unexpected situations * Experience working independently and as part of a team. * Ability to follow approved Departmental policies and procedures. * Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook ## Description Under the general direction of the DOS Team Manager, Supervisor I, the Supervising Program Technician II (SPTII) supervises the work of technical and clerical staff and performs the most difficult and sensitive technical and clerical work of a District Operations Support (DOS) unit to support the delivery of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services to consumers for the district. The SPTII is responsible for understanding and applying Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) policies and developing procedures to ensure compliance with the following: accounting, personnel, business services, authorization of consumer of goods, and other statistical reporting. The SPT II communicates with vendors in the community to facilitate authorizing and invoicing procedures for procurement of goods, monitors consumer and administrative purchases, and serves as the Approving Official for Cal Card purchases. The Greater Los Angeles District is responsible for service delivery of Federal Title I Vocational Rehabilitation Services Program. These services assist eligible individuals in achieving their employment goals by providing training, assistive technology, supported employment and job placement support., Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbent must live and work in California. Incumbent can be required to report to the office, or any designated location at any time.
