## About the Role

+ One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
 + Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
 + Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
 + A bachelor's degree in any information technology field.
 + Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

## Description

The Applications Developer 2 position with the Juvenile Court Judges' Commission offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on critical technology systems. This position serves as a full stack developer who carries out analysis, design, maintenance, and support for all applications used by the Commission. You will support applications that help strengthen justice processes across Pennsylvania. Join a team that values innovation, problem solving, and collaboration. It plays a key role in strengthening agency systems and ensuring that technology solutions meet user needs. As an Applications Developer 2, you will perform the following duties:

 + Application Development: Design, build, and maintain agency applications to support operational needs
 + System Analysis: Evaluate business processes and user requirements to shape effective technical solutions
 + Database Design: Prepare database structures and manage ongoing updates to support data integrity
 + Testing Procedures: Conduct system tests, prepare test plans, and ensure quality through structured testing methods
 + Technical Support: Provide guidance to users, developers, and stakeholders on system functions and technology options
 + Security Compliance: Apply information security practices when determining roles, planning recovery procedures, and managing access
