The team is focused on delivering high-quality technology solutions across a regulated financial environment, with development centred around new business requirements and platform evolution. Your new role As a Java Developer, you will be working on a proprietary risk platform used within a financial services environment. The role will be approximately 70% hands-on Java development, focused on backend development for the risk platform, and 30% support, including FLR and L3 support responsibilities. You will be responsible for developing new functionality, supporting technical platform improvements and working closely with stakeholders to analyse business requirements and design appropriate solutions. The role will also include participation in a support rota, typically 1 week per month, covering on-call support. This is a purely backend-focused position, with no frontend development. The platform is not currently cloud-based, making this an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys working closely with core business-critical systems.
