This role is ideal for someone who started their career as a software engineer and transitioned into QA - you understand how software is actually built, you can read application code with confidence, and you bring a developer's mindset to designing robust, maintainable test automation. You'll own quality across a modern stack - .NET backend, ReactJS/Next.js frontend, and iOS/Android apps - combining hands-on Playwright automation with sharp exploratory and manual testing. Because you've been on the other side, you don't just report what broke; you can often pinpoint where and hypothesize why, which makes you a faster, more valuable partner to the development team. What Sets You Apart * Prior professional experience as a software engineer/developer before moving into QA is strongly preferred. You've shipped production code, worked with version control and code reviews, and understand the architecture behind the features you test.
