## About the Role

* Strong commercial experience with Core Java and Java EE.
 * Experience developing RESTful APIs, web services and Service-Oriented Architecture.
 * Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns and Application Architecture.
 * Experience with Spring Boot, JUnit, BDD and automated testing frameworks.
 * Strong SQL skills with database design experience.
 * Experience working within Unix/Linux environments.
 * Front-end development experience using HTML, TypeScript, CSS, with Angular experience highly desirable.
 * Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
 * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
 * Demonstrable experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar within a commercial software development environment.
 * Strong communication skills with experience collaborating across engineering teams and business stakeholders.

Desirable

 * Full Stack development experience.
 * Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications.
 * Exposure to cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.

## Description

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer, Back End Java Developer, or strong Front End Developer to join a high-performing engineering team on a 12-month PAYE contract based in London., * Design, develop, test and maintain enterprise software applications.

 * Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar as part of day-to-day coding, testing and code review.
 * Develop RESTful APIs and web services.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
 * Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning and technical discussions.
 * Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software issues.
 * Contribute to code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
 * Produce and maintain technical documentation.
 * Support continuous improvement initiatives across the software engineering function.
