## About the Role

* Strong background in secure software development and secure coding practices
 * 12+ years of software engineering experience
 * Expertise developing enterprise applications on z/OS and mainframe platforms
 * Strong programming skills in COBOL, C, and Java
 * Experience modernizing legacy applications while maintaining security and reliability
 * Knowledge of authentication, authorization, cryptography, and secure application architecture
 * Experience implementing secure communications and TLS-based solutions
 * Understanding of hybrid environments spanning mainframe and distributed systems
 * Strong troubleshooting and software design skills
 * Bachelor's degree required

Desired Skills & Experience

 * Experience with code generation or low-code application platforms
 * Knowledge of RACF or other enterprise security integrations
 * Experience developing dynamically linked security libraries
 * Familiarity with Windows and Linux application environments
 * Experience with interlanguage communication such as COBOL-to-C integrations
 * Customer-facing consulting, training, or presentation experience
 * Conference speaking or technical evangelism experience
 * Experience helping enterprise customers implement security best practices
