## About the Role

* Masters of Science or Engineering degree with technical background (e.g. Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, Marine, Mechatronics, Physics, Mathematics, etc.) is
\n

 * 1 - 14 year(s) of COLUMBIA or VA engineering experience (design of a ship component or similar program, including the preparation, review and approval of technical work documents, or test procedures) is
\n

 * Knowledge of the COLUMBIA IPS component and system designs as well as the CTF requirements and capabilities is
\n

 * Prior experience supporting COLUMBIA IPS component work of either Main Propulsion Drives (MPDs), Main Propulsion Controllers (MPCs), Main Propulsion Switchboards (MP SWBDs) or ACCs is
\n

 * Experience working with NAVSEA/NNL
\n

 * Multi-disciplinary systems engineering experience in complex systems based products
\n

 * Experience with MIL Standards
\n

 * Experience in control systems, power electronics, variable speed motor drives, software configuration management, fluid systems engineering, or thermal analysis
\n

 * Experience supporting deck plate work evolutions and interfacing with Operations and Test
\n, * Experience using Microsoft products
\n

 * Experience working in a high stress, high tempo environment
\n

 * Experience working long hours
\n

 * Able to work independently and adhere to strict work control requirements
\n

 * Positive attitude and strong ability to work well with others
\n
