Preferred Qualifications

 * Located in or near the Washington, D.C. area.
 * Background in software testing fundamentals.
 * Experience working with Agile processes and procedures.

## Description

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an Appian Security Business Analyst to support Department of State and the security assessment and testing of a new software deployment.

This position is full-time-Onsite. The selected candidate will work with development and security personnel to identify potential security shortcomings, plan corrective actions, and verify that implemented solutions resolve identified security gaps.

What You'll Do

 * Evaluate a new software deployment to identify potential cybersecurity shortcomings and security gaps.
 * Collaborate with developers to analyze identified issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
 * Develop remediation plans in coordination with technical team members.
 * Create and execute tests to evaluate security-related software changes.
 * Confirm that implemented development solutions resolve identified security gaps.
 * Translate cybersecurity terminology and complex security concerns into understandable testing requirements.
 * Document testing activities, results, identified issues, and remediation outcomes.
 * Support security assessments using cybersecurity fundamentals and operational security knowledge.
 * Participate in Agile testing, issue resolution, and solution-validation activities.
