## About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Software Platform Engineer to design and develop sophisticated data analysis tools for our propulsion engineering team. In this role, you'll build critical infrastructure that enables our engineers to access, analyze, and derive insights from complex test data. Our ideal candidate will combine strong software engineering fundamentals with a deep understanding of data systems and analytical thinking. While web development skills are valuable, this role focuses primarily on building robust data platforms and analytical tools for engineering applications., Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
Minimum of 8 year of relevant software engineering experience.
Strong foundation in mathematics
Extensive experience with database design and optimization
Proficiency in data modeling and working with large datasets
Experience building scalable backend services and APIs
Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
Programming expertise in data processing languages (e.g., Python, Go, C++)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical initiatives
Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing capabilities
Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Preferred:
Previous work in aerospace, automotive, or similar engineering environments
Background in building analytical tools or platforms for engineering teams
Experience with engineering data analysis or test data management
Track record of building maintainable, well-documented systems
Some frontend programming experience (Javascript, C#)
