Highly Advantageous: * Direct experience integrating advanced data architectures with Duck Creek (DCOD) or similar modern P&C core systems (Guidewire, Majesco). * Hands-on experience developing AI layers, specifically utilizing off-the-shelf AI models or building enterprise LLMs integrated with GraphRAG. * Proven track record of designing canonical data models to break down data silos and establish a true "One View of Data" spine ## Description * We are seeking a highly specialized Principal Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in Semantic Web technologies, Knowledge Graphs, and Core Insurance modernization. In this client-facing role, you will act as the strategic bridge between business operations and complex data engineering. * You will lead "left-leaning" business architecture discussions to capture technical requirements and design advanced enterprise ontologies. * Your primary mission will be integrating specialized knowledge graphs (e.g., Vehicle Knowledge Graphs) with modernized core insurance suites and modern data platforms to drive "One View of Data" and real-time, in-the-moment decisioning., Business Architecture & Advisory * Serve as the primary technical advisor to senior client stakeholders, translating complex business processes and modernization challenges into actionable enterprise architecture roadmaps. * Lead "left-leaning" requirements gathering, ensuring that business needs directly inform the data architecture and core system transformations. * Advise on capability gaps and share industry best practices for solving complex MDM (Master Data Management) and customer journey mapping challenges. Ontology & Knowledge Graph Engineering: * Design, govern, and implement Enterprise Ontologies and complex Knowledge Graphs (including asset/vehicle and customer-centric graphs) utilizing RDF, OWL Schemas, and standard semantic web protocols. * Evaluate and architect graph database foundations using tools like Neo4j or Microsoft Fabric Knowledge Graph. * Develop strategies to fuel Enterprise LLMs utilizing GraphRAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) methodologies for contextual, AI-driven insights. Core Systems & Enterprise Integration: * Architect seamless integrations between conceptual Knowledge Graphs and Core Insurance transaction systems (specifically Duck Creek OnDemand modules: Policy, Billing, and Claims). * Define and champion the use of Canonical Data Models to standardize data exchange across the enterprise. * Design robust enterprise integration layers, leveraging integration hubs (e.g., Duck Creek Integration Hub) and decoupled architectures. Modern Data & Streaming Ecosystems: * Design high-throughput, event-driven architectures utilizing streaming platforms like Azure Event Hub or Apache Kafka. * Modernize foundational data layers utilizing scalable cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake. ## Related Videos - [Best practices: Building Enterprise Applications that leverage GenAI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1513-best-practices-building-enterprise-applications-that-leverage-genai) - [Putting the Graph In GraphQL With The Neo4j GraphQL Library](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/257-putting-the-graph-in-graphql-with-the-neo4j-graphql-library) - [How Cisco embraced a DevOps culture within its network engineering team](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/99-how-cisco-embraced-a-devops-culture-within-its-network-engineering-team) - [Blueprints for Success: Steering a Global Data & AI Architecture](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1577-blueprints-for-success-steering-a-global-data-ai-architecture) - [Beyond Dashboards: Fixing Text-to-SQL with Semantic RAG](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2036-beyond-dashboards-fixing-text-to-sql-with-semantic-rag) - [Cyber Sleuth: Finding Hidden Connections in Cyber Data](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/893-cyber-sleuth-finding-hidden-connections-in-cyber-data) ## Related Articles - [Graph and AI Trends 2026: Why Is AI Running but Not Yet Delivering?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/680-graph-and-ai-trends-2026-why-is-ai-running-but-not-yet-delivering) - [Everything a Developer Needs to Know About MCP with Neo4j](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/604-everything-a-developer-needs-to-know-about-mcp-with-neo4j) - [Coffee with Developers - Maria Apazoglou - Making AI understandable for all in production](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/475-coffee-with-developers-maria-apazoglou-making-ai-understandable-for-all-in-production) - [Why Event-Driven Architecture Isn’t About Speed (and When You Actually Need It)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/745-why-event-driven-architecture-isn-t-about-speed-and-when-you-actually-need-it) - [Stephan Gillich - Bringing AI Everywhere](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/489-stephan-gillich-bringing-ai-everywhere) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift)
