(CompTIA Security+ CE) * Good verbal and written communications skills, able to communicate systems engineering and IT information to customers in easy to understand terms. * Good customer service skills. The following qualifications are desired: * Experience supporting organization stand-ups, reconfigurations, or major upgrades. * Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. * Knowledge of and familiarity with project management methods and tools. * Knowledgeable and skilled in applying Generative AI., * Highly motivated self-starters * Resourceful individuals with extraordinary intellectual capability and the ability to rapidly learn and apply new concepts * Individuals who have a "let me try" attitude and are resilient, present an opinion/position, justify it, and then accept whatever decision is made and charge forward * Individuals who view criticism as an opportunity to improve ("let me try again") * Individuals who think and create, enhancing the company with a steady flow of fresh ideas, perspective, and energy. ## Description The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes during the first year in the position: * Formally track all tasks, to include assigned by, suspense, status, and comments on all assigned tasks through completion and be prepared to brief upon request. * Develop digital continuity folders and files that include standard operating procedures, workflows and POC lists to accomplish all tasks. * Create 2-3 products beyond the client's requirements that positively impact the client to either increase efficiency, effectiveness, or innovation. * Establish foundation in AI/ML skills and contribute to AI/ML operationalization and modernization goals and objectives. * Master position tasks within 60 days and exceed requirements within 90 days. * Use government provided Generative AI tools on a day-to-day basis to accelerate tasks, research, documentation, analysis, planning, reporting, and problem solving. * Make recommendations on process improvements and practices that improve quality, speed and/or efficiency., The Systems Administrator (Journeyman) will provide IT systems administration support to the Secretary of the Air Force, Office of Competition (SAF/OC) in Ft Washington, MD with duties at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, MD and Joint Base Andrews. The IT systems administration shall support the tasks that are required to maintain the systems that support the classified system environments needed for the work under this task order. Per the PWS 1.3.4.2 the IT Systems Administrator's responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Support classified, unclassified, and cloud-based networks and related systems, workstations, and associated software along with stand-alone systems, laptops, and various peripheral devices with analysis, design, and engineering support for expanding and/or upgrading capabilities/equipment. * Support the Gemini IT Team Lead in execution of all tasks and requests for data, demonstrate unity of effort in support of the client. * Provide assistance in account management services. o Provide support for IT software (all software will be Government provided): o Install/test/maintain software upgrades/modifications. * Ensure upgrades/modifications of IT software are stable and backup is maintained. * Perform computer/network hardware troubleshooting; and, when appropriate and economically feasible, perform computer/network hardware repairs. * Provide technical support for IT systems. * Backup/restore IT systems and perform reconfiguration and diagnostics/remedial action and ensure end-to-end physical connectivity. * Provide management of current physical configurations of IT systems. * Maintain IT systems operations. * Monitor applications/system software and hardware operations. * Conduct routine high-priority systems problem identification and high-priority corrective actions. * Provide telecommunications support required to provide interface between internal and external IT systems. * Interface with the Non-classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNET), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS), Common Operating Environment (COE), Defense Messaging System, and other networks, as required. * Provide telecommunications support in accordance with all applicable Government security guidelines. * Assist the Government IT Office by providing engineering, technical, and management consultant support for SAF/OC requirements. Recommend to SAF/OC Government Information Technology (IT) office on improvements to infrastructure such as bandwidth at each facility location to improve performance. * Provide expertise in support of Information System Owner (ISO), Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and ISSO roles for classified, unclassified, and cloud-based networks and related systems, workstations, and associated software applications. * Execute the SAF/OC Configuration Management (CM) program: o Identify and document the functional and physical characteristics of CDM IT systems and changes. o Evaluate/identify CM programs/items. o Maintain status accounting records and reports. o Participate in system configuration development and maintenance review. o Develop, document and maintain operational procedures for all IT related processes., E-Verify Notice of Participation This employer participates in E-Verify.
