This senior mechanical will support the Navy Program Manager responsible for Strategic Systems Planning (SSP) Facilities Acquisition at TRIDENT Submarine Bases, primarily at Kings Bay, Georgia and Bangor, Washington, in developing the assigned projects from concept to operational stage. This senior position is responsible for developing conceptual mechanical system requirements, estimated HVAC loads, estimated Bill of Materials, and facility requirements documentation. The selected candidate will provide technical peer reviews of architectural/engineering design submittals, support the develop of Facilities Design Criteria & Facilities Evaluation Testing Criteria, and perform constructability reviews of construction design documentation. Candidate is also responsible to conduct/prepare engineering study reports and will make recommendations to solve facilities issues. The senior mechanical engineer will have experience in the application of various HVAC related equipment to ensure the most effective system type is selected for the design of the facility.
