You'll need to understand how much gold, emeralds, and other resources players earn and spend, and identify where new content may start to devalue existing systems. This is not an isolated role-it is important to see the bigger picture and understand how the game economy impacts monetization, balance, PvP, events, and long-term player motivation. We're looking for someone with strong systems thinking, knowledge of the 4X market, experience working on LiveOps and/or mid-core projects, and a solid understanding of how game economies influence player behavior. What You'll Do * Own features from concept through post-mortem. * Design the economy of events, rewards, progression, and offers. * Understand resource loops, dynamic systems, and game economics. * Work with analytics before and after launch. * Balance the value of new content so that it strengthens the product rather than undermining existing systems. * Collaborate with Product Owners, analysts, developers, UI/UX designers, artists, and other stakeholders. ## Related Videos - [UX is a fullstack job!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1020-ux-is-a-fullstack-job) - [Dynamic Entities in .NET: Building Low-Code Systems on Top of Entity Framework Core](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100218-dynamic-entities-in-net-building-low-code-systems-on-top-of-entity-framework-core) - [How Data is Shaping our Games](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/176-how-data-is-shaping-our-games) - [Building the platform for providing ML predictions based on real-time player activity](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/944-building-the-platform-for-providing-ml-predictions-based-on-real-time-player-activity) - [Designing AI-first products: When the interface is no longer the product](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2062-designing-ai-first-products-when-the-interface-is-no-longer-the-product) - [AI in High-Stakes Industries: Lessons Learned](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100253-ai-in-high-stakes-industries-lessons-learned) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 203: Play 90s Games, Don't Return to Office & Manage Agents](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/683-dev-digest-203-play-90s-games-don-t-return-to-office-manage-agents) - [WWC24 Talk - Brenda Romero - Stay: Surviving and Thriving in Tech](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/467-wwc24-talk-brenda-romero-stay-surviving-and-thriving-in-tech) - [Data Science & more: The Lopez dilemma](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/10-data-science-more-the-lopez-dilemma) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix) - [Dev Digest 135 - AI is Doomed](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/480-dev-digest-135-ai-is-doomed) - [Dev Digest 129 - Now that's what I call private data!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/468-dev-digest-129-now-that-s-what-i-call-private-data)
