## About the Role

* Degree in a STEM subject, preferably Computer Science or Software Engineering.
 * A good understanding of OOP and experience with one or more of the following: Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.
 * Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
 * An awareness of Agile, Cloud, DevSecOps or GitLab is a plus.
 * Good communication skills.
 * Ability to work well in a team environment.
 * Ability to prioritise tasks and manage own time to meet project needs.

## Description

Lockheed Martin UK are hiring Software Engineering Graduates to join teams in our Gloucester office. You will be trained to build critical solutions in cutting-edge technologies, working under general direction and support from your Software Engineering Lead.

Duties include:

 * Working alongside senior engineers in discussions with customers to elicit requirements, converting operational needs into technical specifications.
 * Designing and implementing software solutions based on requirements to meet defined Acceptance Criteria.
 * Writing clean, maintainable code, applying best practice, and reviewing others' code.
 * Championing automation in the form of IaC, CI/CD and test automation.
 * Supporting Integration & Test teams during formal test phases.
 * Performing technical investigations of problems raised against operational systems.
