## About the Role

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline from an accredited university plus 12 years related experience OR Master's Degree plus 10 years related experience OR PhD plus 8 years of related experience.
 * Must have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
 * Must obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) a pproval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need, * Experience with electronics design and verification
 * Experience defining hardware/software and hardware/hardware interfaces
 * Mature requirements definition experience including definition of verification plans.
 * Experience with engineering requirements management tools (i.e. DOORS).
 * Experience working on an agile team.
 * Understanding of the following specialty areas: nuclear surety, cybersecurity, flight safety.
 * Strong experience in system engineering (SE) process, including SE experience across multiple levels of integration for a DoD/Aerospace program.

## Description

* Designs and develops key capabilities and performance requirements for the Guidance Computer (GC).
 * Defines design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with customer specifications.
 * Develops thorough definition of system external interfaces.
 * Defines system implementation approach and operational concept.
 * Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer.
 * Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
 * Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
 * Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
 * Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
