## About the Role

High school degree/GED with 1-2 years of laboratory experience, or equivalent combination of work experience and education required. Associates in related field preferred.

Experience

1-2 years experience in a laboratory setting, and experience handling chemicals preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

 * Attention to detail; technical problem-solving skills; and ability to multi-task.
 * Trained in basic laboratory safety.
 * Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
 * Proven excellence in customer service skills.
 * Detail oriented, problem solver, promotes a team environment.
 * Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

 * The role primarily involves working independently at customer sites, which may include areas with chemical-based allergens like penicillin and tetracycline.

## Description

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Laboratory Setting, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials, Drive excellence in the Media Sciences program through right-the-first-time completion of daily work, compliance adherence, safe lab techniques, and client satisfaction. Champion innovation and practical process improvement in the laboratory., * Complete tasks supporting media and buffer preparation operations (e.g. aseptic filtration, transport of materials, client communication, restocking, chemical inventory, basic equipment calibration, labeling, general housekeeping, basic calculations, matching procedures)

 * Perform review of technical documentation, equipment logbooks, and other documentation as needed
 * Maintain laboratory areas in a high state of inspection preparedness.
 * Follow procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs, and Work Instructions
 * Other duties as assigned
