This work involves the development ofbroadly applicable, high-impact solution patterns and open-source software assets that contribute to the Microsoft platform.

We are hiring aSeniorData Scientistto help drive high-impact engineering projects with our customers and their partners, transforming their missions using AI and other cloud-based solutions and services.Data scientistshavedata management andexpertisein developing statistical techniques to analyze data and find patterns.You will be part of a cross-functional team of software engineers, data scientists, technical program managers, and designers who work side-by-side with high-impact and strategic customers and their engineers to build innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

 * You willacquirethe data necessary for your project plan and develop usable data sets for modeling.You'llalso update internal best practices for data collection andpreparation, andcontribute to data integrity conversations with customers.

 * You will evaluate your team's models and recommend improvements as necessary, drive best practices for models, and develop operational models that run at scale.You'llalso conduct thorough reviews of data analysis and modelingtechniques, andidentifyand invent new evaluation methods.

 * You will research andmaintaina deep knowledge of the industry, including trends and technologies, so that you canidentifystrategy opportunities and contribute to thoughtleadershipbest practices.You'llalso write extensible code that spans multiplefeatures, anddevelopexpertisein proper debugging techniques.

 * You will define business, customer, and solution strategy goals, and partner with other teams toidentifyand explore new opportunities.You'llalso apply a customer-oriented focus to understand theirneeds, andhelp drive realistic customer expectations.
