To provide software upgrades for existing products. To write and test software for embedded microcontrollers and computer systems. To perform other job-related duties as determined and assigned by management. Essential Role Responsibilities (with or without accommodation): 1. Assume responsibility for a portion of the software engineering part of a major new product or an entire project of less complexity, with some supervision and guidance. 2. Perform system modeling and analysis in designing drivers and operating system utilities. 3. Plan, write, test and document software for embedded Linux systems & microcontrollers using C, C++, JavaScript, HTML or other languages as required. 4. Conduct experimental tests. 5. Design product enhancements and upgrades with some guidance. 6. Provide general software support services for the company's products and systems. 7. Generate test procedures for the company's products and systems. 8. Provide technical assistance to customers. 9. Participate in design reviews. Principal Working Relationships: 1. Report to the R&D Manager. 2. Interface with marketing as needed. 3.
