## About the Role

Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Digital Media, Information Technology, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

3+ years of experience in website management, digital accessibility, UX design, content strategy, or related disciplines.

Strong experience implementing ADA and WCAG 2.0/2.1 Level AA accessibility standards.

## Description

We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Website Specialist to support the modernization and ongoing maintenance of accessible, user-centered websites. The ideal candidate will ensure ADA/WCAG Level AA compliance, improve website usability, optimize digital content, and support website governance initiatives. This role requires strong expertise in accessibility standards, content management systems, UX best practices, and digital content strategy.

This is a part-time contract position focused on accessibility compliance, website optimization, governance, content quality, and user experience improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct website accessibility audits and remediate issues to ensure compliance with ADA and WCAG 2.0/2.1 Level AA standards.

Review, edit, and optimize website content for accessibility, usability, readability, and SEO best practices.

Support website redesign and modernization initiatives using user-centered design principles.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, communications teams, designers, and developers to enhance digital experiences.

Establish and maintain website governance processes, accessibility review procedures, and content standards.

Perform accessibility testing using tools such as WAVE, Axe, Siteimprove, or similar solutions.

Analyze website analytics and user feedback to recommend usability improvements.

Develop accessible graphics, templates, and visual assets aligned with branding and accessibility guidelines.

Provide accessibility guidance and training to content authors and internal stakeholders.

Document accessibility standards, remediation activities, and governance processes.

Support ongoing website maintenance and content publishing activities through the CMS.
