Because this is a blended role, candidates should bring strong automation experience plus practical depth in at least one of accessibility or performance testing, with the ability to support the remaining area through established methods and team collaboration. Expertise in every individual tool is not required., · 5+ years of software quality engineering or test automation experience, with practical experience in accessibility testing, performance testing, or both. · Experience building automated tests for web applications, APIs, workflows, business rules, or enterprise applications using one or more modern frameworks. · Working knowledge of CI/CD-based continuous testing, source control, test data, traceability, defect management, and release-quality gates. · Practical experience with either Section 508/WCAG testing techniques or load/performance testing methods; willingness and ability to support both areas is required. · Ability to script or code automated checks using languages or frameworks appropriate to the toolset. · Experience analyzing logs, metrics, test evidence, failures, bottlenecks, accessibility defects, and root causes. · Strong analytical, documentation, collaboration, and communication skills. · Ability to work across automation, accessibility, performance, functional, development, and operations teams. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED: · Experience with PegaUnit, Pega Scenario Testing, Pega Deployment Manager, Pega Diagnostic Center, or comparable workflow-platform test tools. · Experience with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, Postman, JMeter, LoadRunner, k6, axe, WAVE, JAWS, or NVDA; no single toolset is mandatory. · Section 508 Trusted Tester, IAAP, ISTQB, performance-testing, or comparable certification is preferred, but not required. · Experience in Federal, financial, acquisition, health, or another regulated environment; direct VA experience is beneficial but not required. · Familiarity with accessibility conformance reports, VPATs, cloud performance, observability, AI/ML validation, or security testing. EDUCATION: · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
