## Description

The Database Administrator provides, at minimum, the following general services related to Microsoft SQL Server databases:

 * Designs and maintains on premises SQL Server databases and tables
 * Provide customer support, to internal and external customers
 * Produce system and custom reports upon request using SQL queries
 * Reviews and prepares technical documentation, including data dictionaries definitions, systems flows, program flows, database designs,
 * Oversee enhancements and new feature deployment, including the development requirements and testing scripts
 * Responsible for database problem diagnosis and resolution
 * Recommends improvements to database systems based on the latest developments within the IT field, * Plans, organizes, and implements projects in support of District's growing information demands.
 * Ensures the effective use of District resources.
 * Contributes to policies for effective process planning as it relates to new requirements.
 * Possesses expert knowledge of the Structured Query Language (SQL) environment with particular emphasis on planning, analysis, design and implementation of reports and report interfaces intended for the end user.
 * Participates in short-term tactical planning implementation.
 * Contributes to long-term strategic planning.
