Join our growing team as a System Administrator., Clearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) Certification Required: CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification) Education/Experience: * Requires Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a hardware development-related field. * Experience: Eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in management of DoD systems, networks, and IT infrastructure configuration, to include: + Designing and implementing IT infrastructure requirements to support SCI and SAP projects and ensure continuity of operations + Network Administration experience for classified and unclassified networks + Experience working with hardware vendors to support business operations + Experience working with the DoD software approval process, the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Nessus security scanning procedures ## Description What you get to do every day: Provide system and network administration for the Joint Data Support technical infrastructure across NIPRnet, SIPRnet, JWICS, and the Lab internal network, and provide security support for TS/SCI and Special Access Program (SAP) facilities. Responsibilities Systems and Network Administration * Configure and administer the JDS server suite across NIPRnet, SIPRnet, JWICS, and the Lab internal network, integrating new hardware and software and installing DoD Enterprise servers with fault-tolerant storage and STIG compliance. * Perform database administration for JDS database services: version upgrades, database creation, user access permissions, tuning, and scheduled backups using DoD Enterprise approved solutions. * Ensure NIPRnet, SIPRnet, and JWICS connectivity and continuity of service, and work with JSP on firewall rules that allow internal and remote clients to use JDS applications. * Build and support the SIPRnet and NIPRnet development networks, including DoD compliant workstation and DISA server images, user accounts and permissions, database administration, and backups. * Apply vendor patches from the DoD Software Repository to resolve security vulnerabilities Infrastructure Planning and Continuity * Plan and implement disaster recovery and continuity of operations (COOP), assess hardware and software capacity, and maintain infrastructure support for the TS/SCI facility. * Identify hardware and software requirements for production and development environments, develop acquisition plans, monitor purchases, renew maintenance agreements, license applications used within JDS and CAPE, and maintain the hardware and software record. * Provide on-call coverage for JDS infrastructure. As backup to government personnel, provide a 4-hour recall for security matters and an 8-hour recall for infrastructure requirements. Information Assurance * Implement and support Information Assurance and security activities using the DoD Enterprise McAfee HBSS suite and STIG compliance checks. * Complete DoD system accreditation documentation and produce security reports for server and workstation accreditation using DoD security scanning software to meet RMF requirements. Mission and Event Support * Maintain and operate VTC capabilities on NIPRnet, SIPRnet, and JWICS, scheduling point-to-point sessions, multi-site bridged sessions with JSP, and overflow-room sessions with JDS analysts. * Support CAPE and Joint Staff conferences, war games, and off-sites: standalone networks with client workstations and a centralized server, conference-specific applications, SVTC meetings, large high-resolution plotting, facilitation and subject matter expertise, scheduling, facilities, read-ahead materials, and after-action reports. * Recommend, implement, and support applications for mission critical operations, including secure file transport for data collections, map and imaging software, COTS and open-source mathematical applications, data analysis tools, and extensions to existing Microsoft products. Facility Security Support (TS/SCI and SAP) * Maintain secure environments for SAP execution, keep SAPFs aligned with DoD security directives, policies, and procedures (including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual), and ensure adherence to SCIF and SAPF procedures during meetings, presentations, and briefings. * Install DoD compliant workstation and server images supporting DoD and COTS applications specific to SAP projects and the standalone TS/SCI network. * Provide suite security management support, including security training, storage, handling, and disposal of classified material, security administration, and resolution of security issues, plus technical and analytical support to requirements arising during normal activity.
