## About the Role

This requisition may be filled at either a Software Engineer - Level 2 or a Principal Software Engineer - Level 3., * Software Engineer - Level 2: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0-2 years of related experience.

 * Principal Software Engineer - Level 3: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related work experience, or 1 year of related work experience with a PhD. in STEM.
 * Recent experience developing software in C++ or Java or Ada
 * Willingness to become proficient with Ada software development
 * Quick to learn and able to absorb new concepts and information
 * Recent Python Experience
 * Linux Operating System Experience
 * Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
 * Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs.
 * Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start

Preferred Qualifications:

 * Highly experienced with Linux, scripting, and operations
 * Experience with the MDA GMD program.
 * Experience with Agile Project Management tools (Jira/Confluence) and DevSecOps tools and methods (Jenkins, Ansible, Git/Gitlab) of continuous integration/continuous delivery and deployment (CI/CD) automation

## Description

As a software developer on the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Fire Control (GFC) Battle Manager software team, you will be part of the team that writes the software (currently ~1.5million lines of code) that controls the missile defense system that protects the US. You will work in a collaborative environment to understand, implement, and test existing and new capabilities., * Software development, you will also be expected to support reviews of requirements and test cases that are developed in support of the GFC software team.
