This role ensures the reliable operation, maintenance, and security of the Center's IT infrastructure, classroom technology, and office facilities while providing responsive technical support to staff, faculty, and students. The ITF Coordinator maintains the inventory, storage, and lifecycle management of CIEE-owned technology and office assets, coordinates facilities maintenance and vendor services, and helps ensure a safe, efficient, and well-functioning learning and working environment. The role also contributes to operational planning, technology improvements, and special projects in support of the Madrid Center's academic and administrative operations. What You´ll Do Technology Maintenance & Operations: * Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Study Center's technology infrastructure, including computers, printers, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and classroom technology. * Install, configure, update, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and user devices. * Manage and maintain student and staff printing services. * Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, including Wi-Fi services and fiber-optic internet connections. * Maintain classroom technology, including projectors, laptops, PCs, smart boards, and other instructional equipment. * Coordinate hardware upgrades, replacements, and technology improvements as needed. * Assist with technology purchasing decisions, budgeting, and equipment planning. * Maintain system documentation, equipment records, security procedures, backups, and data management practices. Technical Support & Problem Resolution: * Provide technical support to CIEE staff, instructors, and students. * Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and classroom technology issues. * Maintain accurate records of technical issues, solutions, and recurring problems. * Recommend improvements to systems, workflows, and technology processes. * Support faculty and staff with online learning platforms and digital tools, including learning management systems and collaboration platforms. * Assist with the development of systems that improve scheduling, classroom technology coordination, and operational efficiency. Facilities & Office Support: * Provide basic technology training and support for staff, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, and email tools. * Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and service requests for office equipment and facilities. * Ensure classrooms, meeting rooms, and shared spaces are functional, organized, and ready for daily operations. * Support office moves, workspace changes, equipment installations, and facility improvement projects. * Coordinate with vendors and service providers for technology and facility-related needs. * Assist with workplace safety procedures, facility inspections, and access/security processes, including keys and badges. Administrative & Student Support: * Maintain accurate inventories of technology equipment * Manage equipment storage, distribution, replacement, and disposal processes. * Coordinate procurement, delivery, and setup of technology and office supplies. * Maintain inventory tracking systems and documentation. * Support telephone systems and other office communication tools. * Participate in student orientation activities and occasional day or overnight excursions * Provide occasional after-hours support for urgent IT or facility-related issues. Diversity Matters, * Flexible working arrangements, including short Fridays and, separately, remote work eligibility after six months. * Seven additional days of CIEE-paid holidays during December and Easter Breaks Working Conditions This ITF Coordinator role is a new, full-time, student-facing position based in Madrid, Spain. The standard work schedule is 39 hours per week with a local contract and follows all local holidays and annual vacation days. Working hours will typically be Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, However, CIEE currently offers an additional work benefit on Fridays for this position to work from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, based on a flex-time concept to compensate for busy "peak periods" during other times of the year.
