## About the Role

* A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a relevant IT qualification or Apprenticeship is desirable.
 * Previous experience in an IT support or Helpdesk role would be preferred.
 * Good knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
 * Basic Active Directory user administration.
 * Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware.
 * Knowledge of printers and peripheral devices.
 * Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN connectivity, and wired/wireless network troubleshooting.
 * Excellent troubleshooting skills.
 * Strong communication and user support skills.
 * Good organisational skills.
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

## Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior IT Support professional to join our IT Department. The successful candidate will provide first and second-line IT support to office and vessel personnel, ensuring that technical issues are resolved promptly while delivering a high standard of service.

The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise across a broad range of IT systems and technologies. The position also provides the opportunity to enhance communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills within a dynamic, multicultural environment and a global industry., * Provide first and second-line IT support to office and vessel users.

 * Response to and resolve IT incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
 * Install, configure, and maintain virtual machines, desktop and laptop computers, printers, mobile devices and peripherals.
 * Monitor device performance and ensure their availability and reliability.
 * Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and business applications.
 * Assist with user account administration, and access requests.
 * Support remote users using remote support tools.
 * Maintain IT asset records and documentation.
 * Escalate infrastructure and complex technical issues.
 * Assist with hardware deployments and equipment replacement.
 * Ensure IT policies and Cyber Security procedures are followed.
 * Liaise with vendors and suppliers when required.
 * Participate in IT projects as required.
